And yes, there are some other boons and synergies that can result in 20-30 ticks, but getting those are quite rare as well, so why not make it so that the one lucky bastard who gets the whole synergy gets a good run finisher. That's weak for a legendary I have to say. As it is, 10 ticks will give and average of 6 damage extra per tick. Considering it's a legendary, I really don't see why it shouldn't at least be 2 dmg per tick. Not to mention that +1 damage ramp up per tick isn't all that if you don't get too many ticks in. Of course, you don't need to use Artemis' cast to get the legendary, but I find it a bit odd all the same that her legendary is cast-centered when so little else of her is.Īres' boon is a buff to a cast that a lot of players despise because it's very rarely viable to use in any significant way. Attacks and Specials vary wildly from weapon to weapon, some having tons of attacks that can trigger hunter's mark, others being slow heavy hitters, while the cast is always the same, so why not reduce the base dmg slightly and have it at 30-40% crit chance as a reliable way to get hunter's mark on enemies?). It is also a quite odd one as Artemis' thing is crit, and an Artemis heavy run will typically be centered around attacks, not cast as her cast has really poor damage and crit chance imo (I really don't understand why it has the lowest crit chance when it's the most predictable ability. With Stygian Soul, it's absolutely bonkers, while with Infernal Soul, it's a pleasant upgrade but nothing serious. Maybe I've just had really bad luck with Ares' boon, but Artemis requires two tier 2 boons that themselves have requirements.Īrtemis' boon is wildly different depending on the mirror choice you've made. I've tried for ages to get these two, but the amount of requirements to get them are too much. Now we get to the "impossible ones": Artemis'" Fully Loaded", and Ares' "Vicious Cycle". Maybe give Chaos a reduced recharge time boon instead of the +1 cast that he has now to balance it out. This will improve any cast you have, and is therefore a much more reliably welcome legendary. My suggestion would be to replace Bad News with a +1 cast, similar to what Chaos gives now, and maybe remove the Chaos boon with +1 cast for Stygian Soul runs. Therefore, the boon "Bad News" is basically only a major upgrade for Ares' cast, and that one is generally considered a weak cast that's hard to use. Thus, what you have to contend with would be the labyrinth mobs, where basically only the bosses are a real threat, and Hades. Now, for all the rest of the boons, it'll only help with the first hit, which wouldn't be too bad, if it weren't for the fact that you are almost guaranteed to be at the end of elysium when you get the legendary boon. This scales incredibly well with Ares and Demeter (although the Stygian soul mirror perk scales poorly with Demeter), and it helps Dionysus' cast, but that one can't really do big dps anyway. It gives you 50% increased dmg against mobs that don't have a cast shard on them. Legendary boons are meant to be game changers that appear quite rarely, but some of them are almost impossible to get no matter what, and others are simply not that good.įirst off: Hermes' "Bad News".
